- Ann Houston has been appointed by the Eastern Bank Foundation — the philanthropic arm of Eastern Bank — as a Foundation Fellow focused safe and affordable housing to support economic inclusion and mobility in the region. (Affordable housing is one of the EBF’s four strategic areas of focus, along with equity in small business, workforce development, and early childhood development.) For over 40 years, Ann Houston has worked to create and manage affordable housing, as CEO for Opportunity Communities, Executive Director of Neighborhood Developers, Director of Community Assistance for the Massachusetts Housing Partnership Fund, and Director of Development for Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation. She currently chairs the Newton Affordable Housing Trust.
