The Real Property Reuse Committee voted to hold a decision on the reuse of a City-owned parcel (169 Grove Street and 136 Hancock Street) and scheduled a public hearing on March 28, 2024 (see Report and watch NewTV video):
- Recommendation by the Planning Director that the City-owned parcel on 169 Grove Street and 136 Hancock Street be made available for sale or lease. According to the report, the land is beside the Williams Elementary School. Some committee members raised concerns regarding starting a Joint Advisory Planning Group (JAPG) before setting a public hearing date and having a further discussion with the Commissioner of Public Buildings. The Committee requested that the Williams School staff and PTO be invited to the public hearing. The Committee voted to hold (7-0).
