On Thursday, May 18 at 7PM, Green Newton will be joining the Newton Democratic City Committee’s Climate Crisis Subcommittee in presenting another in the subcommittee’s series of webinars on different aspects of the climate crisis: Preparing for Climate Change: Is Newton Doing Enough?.
Newton City Councilor Emily Norton will be presenting. Emily is also the Executive Director of the Charles River Watershed Association. She will discuss the fact that regardless of how much we reduce emissions in the future, many impacts of climate change are here, and we need to address them. The forum will cover flooding, heat, and nature-based solutions. Pre-registration is required.
