The Negotiations Subcommittee of the Newton School Committee will meet three times this week in person (Room 210, Ed Center), each time initially in Open Session and then will vote to enter into Executive Session:

School Committee will meet in person (Room 210, Ed Center) on Tuesday, February 7 at 4PM initially in Open Session, and then will vote to enter into Executive Session to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining with the NTA and NESA, and pending litigation. The School Committee will reconvene in Open Session at 5:00 to develop questions for Superintendent Finalist Interviews — see Meeting Notice.
On February 8 at 7PM, Newton Public Schools will host an NPS Budget Forum in the auditorium of Newton North High School. It will include a presentation on the proposed operational override and its impact on the NPS budget for FY24, followed by a question-and-answer session. You may pose questions live at the event or via this online form beforehand.
