Love to sing? Love the sound of a chorus singing great choral music? Join Us! The Newton Community Chorus begins rehearsals for our Spring Concert of the Brahms German Requiem, one of the masterpieces of classical music.
Rehearsals begin Monday, January 30 at 7:30PM at Newton Country Day School (785 Centre Street, Newton, near the BC Law School campus). Open rehearsals will be held on January 30, February 6, and February 13. Auditions will held on February 6 and 13. We encourage anyone interested to come and sing with us for the evening. We’ll learn the music together, and afterwards, potential new members stay and sing a little bit of what we’ve learned in front of our music director, Richard Travers and a small group. That’s all there is to it.
The Newton Community Chorus has been making wonderful music for 42 years. We’re a friendly, committed and welcoming group of singers that love to make beautiful music together. We perform a wide range of repertory, and our concerts feature outstanding guest soloists and a full orchestra. We’re a Newton (and beyond) tradition. Join us and sing. You’ll be glad you did.
