The Newton Police Department is inviting parents of middle-school students to enroll their students in the Cops and Kids Program, which runs July 24-28 and August 7-11. The hours are 8AM-4PM unless otherwise specified for a specific activity or field trip.
The goal of the program is to offer safe, fun, and supervised activities to middle schoolers. Newton Police Officers and Newton Public School staff will be staffing and supervising the program, which includes recreational activities, field trips, swimming, and a community service activity.
There is no cost to participate. If interested, pick up an application at the Police Department Annex (25 Chestnut Street) and contact Officer John Panica at 617-796-2189.
