The Boston College Public Health Club is holding an Empty Bowls event to benefit the Newton Food Pantry on April 20, 6PM-8PM in a new venue: Heights Room, Corcoran Commons (2nd floor of Lower dining hall), Boston College. The event will raise awareness about food insecurity and bring the community together to support a local nonprofit that provides food for those in Newton in need. Purchase a ticket ($15, or $5 for BC students) — either beforehand by Venmo or at the door. At the event, learn about food insecurity and enjoy soup in a homemade bowl that you can keep (donated by other members of the community).
