Tanglewood Marionettes: The Dragon King, Feb. 24

The Tanglewood Marionettes will perform a spectacular produdction of The Dragon King on February 24 in two shows — 11AM and 1PM — at the War Memorial Cultural Center Auditorium at Newton City Hall. The Dragon King is a classic tale is told by wooden marionette puppets brought to life by the artistic talents of Peter and Anne Schaefer. Founded in 1993, Tanglewood Marionettes is a nationally touring marionette company whose unique productions have been seen by hundreds of thousands of children and families across the country. With seven shows currently in their repertoire, the company performs year-round at venues ranging from school assemblies to renowned cultural institutions. You won’t want to miss the beautifully hand-crafted marionettes, colorful sets, and integrated lighting and sound creating a fully immersive theatrical experience appreciated by all ages.
