Newtonville Village Day!

Sunday was beautiful and fun, and Newtonville Village Day was a huge success, with a steady stream of people from the village and all parts of Newton. This year offered a much broader range of vendors, bolstered in part by the newer restaurants in the village. There were more activities — including artists, face painting, and a train provided by the Masons — and opportunities to meet the LigerBots and their robot and Newton’s very friendly Officer Leo. Village Day organizers Dana D’Agostino and Maura Harrington noted that attendance was much higher than last year, and the 300 Village Day T-shirts they brought were gone by 2PM. We at Fig City News very much enjoyed meeting so many people in person, and we were glad to see that Fig Newtons remain very popular!
