MBTA crews will be doing geotechnical drilling between October 3 and November 4 to collect data to support the design of station improvements. Most of the work will be done between midnight and 5AM with some noise and lighting. Temporary single lane and sidewalk closures will be required and some parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable on the south side of Auburn Street. Drilling around Newtonville station will end the week of October 3, and around West Newton it will end the week of October 10.
