Last Saturday for Auburndale Village Day, the neighborhood had great weather, crowds strolling up and down Lexington and Auburn Streets, violin serenades, sidewalk art, activities in and around the Auburndale Community Library, and surprise offers from local businesses. A fine link in the chain of Newton’s Village Days, following Waban, Nonantum, and Newton Highlands earlier in the year. Next up: Newtonville Village Day on September 18 and Newton Upper Falls Village Day on October 2.
