Public Safety and Transportation Committee Report — 6/22/2022

The recently released report of the Public Safety & Transportation Committee’s 6/22/2022 meeting (video of the meeting is here on NewTV) says that the voted to approve the following:

  • Two requests for triennial renewal bus licenses
    • VPNE Parking Solutions, LLC – four licenses
    • Boston College – two licenses
      • Boston College Law School Routes
      • Boston College Main Campus to Boston Route
  • Request to modify the language of Section 19-29 and Chapter 19-30(g), to allow for administrative changes to be made to the Traffic and Parking Regulations (TPR), and to present the administrative changes made each year to the City Council as part of the annual report of the work of the Traffic Council. – NOTE: Committee voted to approve Subject to 2nd Call – regarding Section 2 in the draft ordinance – with the understanding that the Chair would reach out to the Law Department.

The Committee voted No Action Necessary on the following items:

  • Request for a review and potential amendment to the Tiger Parking Permit Program including a review of the number of permits issued, the lottery process for permits, and locations included in the Tiger Parking Permit Program, and a potential amendment to the fees associated with the Tiger Parking Permit Program.
  • Request for a review and potential amendment to the Tiger Parking Permit Program including a review of the number of permits issued, the lottery process for permits, and locations included in the Tiger Permit program
