Cappella Clausura will present Blood Water Paint — a multimedia production celebrating Baroque painter and composer Artemisia Gentileschi — in two performances:
- March 11 at 8 PM: War Memorial Auditorium at Newton City Hall
- March 12 at 4 PM: Emmanuel Church in Boston
As described in this article, the production consists of a play by Joy McCullough and cantatas by Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, with eight musicians and six actors portraying 13 characters. A PowerPoint presentation runs throughout, providing an English translation of the cantatas’ lyrics alongside images of Gentileschi’s art.
