Brighter Ignited: Traveling participatory public art installation at New Art Center, Dec. 4

Brighter Ignited — a 10-foot illuminated, participatory art installation celebrating Hanukkah — is traveling around Greater Boston and will be on display at the New Art Center (61 Washington Park, Newtonville) on Sunday, December 4, 4PM-5:30PM. Commissioned by the Jewish Arts Collaborative (JArts), designed by artist Tova Speter, and built by craftsman Manny Hutter, it has engaged hundreds of community participants in contributing designs that light up the installation. The installation asks participants: “When there is something you are passionate about, dedicated to, and ready to stand up for — how do you ignite action?”
