The Newton Free Library will host a virtual presentation, Dispatch from the Gas Transition Allies: Green Newton Series, on November 17, 7PM-8PM. Nathan Phillips, Professor in the Department of Earth and Environment at Boston University, and Dr. Dorie Seavey, a Boston-based applied research economist, will discuss organizations and individuals who are dedicated to finding and fixing gas leaks. Gas Transition Allies (formerly Gas Leaks Allies) and many others are working on managing our gas infrastructure. Learn how we can make a safe, swift and just transition to electrification of the building heating sector for a healthier, safer and more resilient community and climate. Registration is required.
