Cherry Street Music will transform its intimate concert hall into a cozy jazz club on Saturday, November 22 at 7:30PM with The Gingersnap Band at The Allen Center (35 Webster Street, West Newton).
The Gingersnap Band was founded by Newton native (Newton North HS 2001) Arjana Vizulis-Danylets (on vocals and violin) and Ivan Danylets (piano). The married couple are based in New York City and have played all over the world. At The Allen Center they’ll lead a sextet that blends jazz, pop, rock, and musical theater influences into fresh and soulful interpretations of classic and contemporary songs.
