Dundon & Huston: Vote for Cyrus for a multigenerational Newton

We are delighted to have the opportunity to vote for Cyrus Dahmubed for City Council for one of the two At-Large City Council seats from Ward 4. All registered Newton voters can vote for him.

A lifelong resident of Auburndale, Cyrus has devoted his career to architecture and urban planning, and has worked towards making housing more affordable for everyone, including young adults and families with children. As a person in his early 30s, Cyrus is acutely aware that the prohibitively high cost of housing in Newton is the single biggest reason why young professionals cannot afford to live here. This lack of affordable housing makes it harder for local employers to find employees, and of course we are all seeing the drop in school enrollment. We need a change in direction.

We want to see a City Council that is visionary and proactive. We have been stuck in the mud for too long. Cyrus is a breath of fresh air, and we believe he will help Newton become more vibrant, welcoming, and multigenerational. Please join us in voting for Cyrus for City Council.
