The Zoning & Planning Committee approved the following (see the report and watch the meeting video):
- Appointment of David Boronkay to the Upper Falls Historic District Commission (8-0) to fill a vacancy and maintain the Commission’s ability to review proposals promptly.
The Committee held the following:
- Discussion and possible amendments to remove or reduce commercial parking minimums in village centers (8-0) Held to allow staff and members to compare peer-city approaches and tailor standards to Newton’s mode-share goals.
- Discussion on the current state of Newton’s commercial office space (8-0) report will be available at a later date.
- Discussion on parking policy in village centers (8-0) report will be available at a later date.
