Chair’s Note: The Chair anticipates the following item will be referred back to the Public Facilities Committee at the City Council meeting on September 2, 2025. This will be followed by a vote to request a third-party review of the engineering of this project.
- Request for a main drain extension at 132 Homer Street that begins at an end of the line drain manhole near #16 & #17 Chapin Road and extends approximately 482 feet easterly to the end of Chapin Road
- Requesting a discussion with the Department of Public Works about standard road work procedures
- Request for a grant of location to install and maintain gas main in Washington Street to a new gas main in Kempton Place
- Request for a grant of location to install and maintain approximately 30 feet of conduit from manhole #7044 within Washington Street (a public way) towards the north and onto Dunstan Street

Public Safety and Transportation will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:30PM. The agenda includes the following:
- Requesting authorization to accept Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 71 to authorize the installation and operation of cameras on school buses to enforce violations when a vehicle illegally passes a bus that has stopped to allow students to get on or off the bus.
