The Charles River Regional Chamber (CRRC) has launched its First Annual Small Business Awards, which are based on nominations by the community at large. Nominations closed on August 6, and now the community can vote online until noon on August 22 for each of three People’s Choice Awards. The CRRC asks that each person vote only once, choosing up to three in each category. The People’s Choice Award categories are:
- Best New Small Business (opened in 2022 or later)
- Outstanding Independent Retailer of the Year
- Outstanding Independent Restaurant of the Year
Separately, the CRRC awards committee will select winners for these three awards from those nominated:
- Small Businessperson of the Year
- Nonprofit Leader of the Year
- Small Business Champion of the Year
Results will be announced at the CRRC’s first annual Newton Small Business Awards event on September 17 at the West Newton Cinema.
