A bit of history… Nancy Brown and Annette Seaward started hosting their Book Swap at L’Aroma Café in the fall of 2016. It was borne from their love of books; they shared books liberally with each other and thought it would be fun to include other book people. So, twice a year, until Covid, they happily shared books and conversation. Once things opened up again, they brought back the twice-yearly Book Swap to Nancy’s front porch. Then in early spring of this year, in the spirit of community building and supporting local business, they found a home at the West Newton Cinema and with it, the opportunity for a monthly Book Swap.

The “swap” is not obligatory. The Book Ladies’ motto is: “Bring some books (or not), take some books (please)!”
