The City of Newton will host Strummin’ Up To Boston with ukulele instructors and performers sharing the enjoyment and beauty of the instrument. It will take place on Saturday, June 14, 11AM-4PM at Newton City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Avenue, Newton Centre).
This entertaining and fun-loving ukulele festival includes live musical performances by 8 New England based ukulele ensembles, including Newton’s own City Hall Strummers. There will be food trucks and vendor booths selling unique musical gifts, and a group musical strum-along led by local ukulele personality Danno Sullivan. The event is free, and all ages are welcome!
