The City of Newton says: “By 2030, Massachusetts is projected to have more than two million residents age 60+, representing 28.4% of the total population, yet older adults and people with disabilities are being short-changed and underfunded for critical home and community-based services – programs that ultimately generate significant savings for the state while allowing consumers to remain in their homes with better health outcomes and higher quality of life.”

Older Adult Lobby Day is co-hosted by the Massachusetts Councils on Aging, Mass Aging Access, Dignity Alliance Massachusetts, Massachusetts Senior Action, AARP, MAMH, OABHN, ABCD, HEARTH, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
