City Council
Zoning and Planning will meet on Monday to consider:
- Appointment of Robert Jampol to the Conservation Commission
- Reappointment of Amy Dain to the Planning and Development Board
- Possible amendments to the City’s floodplain ordinance
- Possible amendments to Newton’s Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Ordinance to comply with the State’s Zoning Act
- Possible amendments to remove or reduce parking minimums for commercial uses in commercial centers
Finance Committee‘s regularly scheduled meeting has been canceled.

- Hear guest speaker: Kent Gonzales, Vice President of Development at Northland Investment Corp.
- Elect Officers, review 2024 Annual Report, and conduct 2025 Goal Planning
- Discuss Newton Centre Plaza proposal, economic development strategy update, and other City staff updates
Design Review Committee – Franklin School Building Committee will meet on Wednesday to discuss project schedule and progress, as well as exterior design (Base study, Material palette).
