Newton people in the news…

Joshua and Benjamin Moshes with their NYC Congestion Pricing Tracker website

Benjamin and Joshua Moshes have become somewhat famous in the world of New York City traffic recently through their new Congestion Pricing Tracker website, which analyzes the impact of NYC’s in-bound toll ($9 base, with off-peak discounts) implemented January 5 to reduce congestion in the Big Apple. The brothers graduated from Newton South HS, and now Benjamin is a senior in applied math and economics at Brown University and Joshua is a freshman at Northeastern studying computer science. Their new website analyzes estimated travel times for 19 different Google Maps routes every 15 minutes. Their work has been quoted in the New York Times, New Yorker, The Economist, Boston Globe, and at least 14 other publications.
