In partnership with Newton’s 57th Annual Celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 20, the Rotary Club of Newton and The Village Bank are hosting their annual Food Drive, January 13-18, to support Newton’s three food pantries. The drive is collecting unexpired items in these categories:
- Food
- Cereal (Kid-friendly and name brands preferred)
- Hearty Canned Soup (meat, beans, veggies)
- White Tuna in Water
- Ground Coffee
- Mac & Cheese
- Cereal / Granola Bars
- Toiletries
- Shampoo, Deodorant, Toothpaste
- Baby Wipes
Drop off donated items at the Harmony Foundation’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day event on January 20, 8:45AM-Noon at the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton (1326 Washington Street, West Newton) or at any of these locations during January 13-18:
- Any Village Bank branch (through noon on January 18)
- Newton City Hall
- Newton Police Headquarters
- Newton Free Library
- Scandinavian Living Center
- Star Market, 33 Austin Street, Newtonville
- Stop & Shop, 171 Watertown Street, Nonantum
