- Authorization to appropriate and expend $1 million for the Vehicle Replacement Program (6-0, Councilor Kalis Not Voting) from Certified Free Cash.
- Authorization to appropriate and expend $200,000 for FY25 Traffic Calming projects (7-0)
from Certified Free Cash for FY25 Traffic Calming projects, adding to $350,000 from the operating budget to fund four projects. Discussions covered project prioritization, potential for in-house work, and project timelines. One project will feature a raised crossing.
The Public Facilities Committee voted to hold the following grant of location requests from National Grid:
- 1038 Beacon Street, 1121 Beacon Street, Beacon Street from Garland Road to Brentwood Avenue, the intersection of Beacon and Walnut, and the intersection at Beacon and Beaconwood Road (6-0, Councilor Kalis not voting) to install approximately 1,460 ft of gas mains to replacing various outdated pipes.
