Newton for Everyone will host a hybrid discussion — What would it take to build 100% affordable housing in Newton? — on November 19 at 7PM, at the Congregation Dorshei Tzedek/Second Church (60 Highland Street, West Newton) and on Zoom.
Newton native and current resident Jason Korb will speak about the costs, considerations, and risks involved in developing 100% affordable housing, along with ideas for how Newton could become more welcoming to more affordable homes. He has been building 100% affordable housing for almost 20 years. His work includes projects in Bridgewater, Brockton, Cambridge, Easton, Haverhill, Sharon, Springfield, and Templeton. He is a Trustee of the Newton Affordable Housing Trust and on the Board of CHAPA.
