The Programs & Services Committee approved the following (see report and watch the meeting video):
- Authorization to acquire Christina Street Bridge land: (6-0) to acquire land for the development of a new shared-use bike and pedestrian path bridge over the Charles River. The City plans to build a new single-span, pre-fab truss bridge. Private donors in Needham have offered to contribute funds for the new bridge.
- Reappointment of Michelle Freshman to the Health and Human Services Advisory Council: (6-0)
- Reappointment of Sam Figler to Newton Commonwealth Foundation: (6-0)
The Programs & Services Committee voted to hold the following:
- Request for deed restriction for open space on Christina Street Bridge land: (6-0) Not added due to an ARPA funding deadline for the project. The deed restriction can be added later.
