Kelley: Lipof is best candidate suited to collaborating

I have served on the Newton City Council with all three candidates running for the 12th Middlesex District seat for State Representative, replacing Ruth Balser. Each has a commitment to serving the public and brings his own set of experiences to the role, but only one consistently demonstrates a civil approach to campaigning without attacking the others. That person is Rick Lipof.

I am dismayed to see the other two candidates going at each other, rather than focusing on their own strengths. Kudos to Rick Lipof to not attacking his opponents.

Let us hope that civility will prevail, and the candidate best suited to collaborating with other electeds, capable of getting Newton and Brookline the state and national funding, services, and programs we need, will win: Rick Lipof.
