Sept. 3 Primary Election: Information for voters

The State Primary Election will be held on September 3 (7AM-8PM). The result of the Primary Election will determine political parties’ candidates for the General Election on November 5.

There are nine different sample ballots, separated by party and by State Representative district.

Many candidates are running unopposed. The only contested elections are:

Republicans

Early voting is at City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Avenue) at these dates/times:

  • Sat/Sun – August 24 & 25 — 11AM-5PM
  • Mon/Tues – August 25 & 27 — 8:30AM-5PM
  • Wed – August 28 — 8:30AM-8PM
  • Thurs/Fri – August 29 & 30 — 8:30AM-5PM

Voting by mail and absentee voting.

The deadline to register to vote for this election was 5PM on Saturday, August 24.
