Reappointment to Zoning Board of Appeals: Former City Council President Brooke Lipsitt was approved for reappointment as a full member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, term expiring April 30, 2027. Discussed community engagement process and successful efforts in securing deeper levels of affordability in 40B projects. Approved (7-0, Councilor Danberg not voting).
Appointment to Planning and Development Board: Edward J. Dailey was approved for appointment as a full member of the Planning & Development Board, term expiring February 1, 2029. Highlighted his extensive experience and previous legal involvement in land use and zoning. Approved unanimously (8-0).
Appointment to Newton Upper Falls Historic District Commission: Terrence Brown was approved for appointment as an alternate member of the Newton Upper Falls Historic District Commission, term expiring May 20, 2025. Noted his background in education and real estate, and interest in historic preservation. Approved unanimously (8-0).
