It seems we are living in an age of disinformation when people say things deliberately or inadvertently which have no basis in fact.
This is the case for claims in the Ward 4 Councilor race that Randy Block is against the construction of a rail trail in Newton Lower Falls. I have been an active proponent of bike-pedestrian infrastructure in the Riverside corridor. To the best of my knowledge Randy has never made any public statement either for or against the any of the trail proposals.
Given the negative effect of unjustified statements on civil discourse I hope those who are making these claims can either document their source or offer an apology to Randy and the Lower Falls-Auburndale community.
Hoping for our continued success in bringing forward the much needed and desired bike-pedestrian infrastructure along the Charles River.
