  • Vote to approve Change Order No.1 for Vareika Construction, Inc. FISH 211107 223/225 Tremont Street in the amount of TBD for additional work to be performed in a second-floor unit that includes creating a laundry room, bathroom vanity, Quartz countertops, and pressure washing of building to remove soot and other debris.
  • Vote to approve a contract for TBD in the amount not to exceed $100,000 for the roof replacement at 45 Pelham Street.
  • Vote to approve contract for LL Cleaning, Inc., 38 Hawser Bend, Centerville, MA for Painting Contract of common ways at Jackson Gardens Development in the amount of $48,650.
  • Vote to approve a contract for Vareika Construction, Inc. for $193,300 to replace the ADA Ramp at 45 Pelham Street. This project is being partially funded by CDBG monies awarded by the City of Newton in the amount of $100,000. The contract with the City is being drafted.

Newton Upper Falls Historic District Commission will meet virtually (Zoom link) on Thursday, July 13 at 7PM. The agenda includes the following:

• Request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to pave a small area by the garage, build a retaining wall and paved area for trash cans, and build a border wall to reinforce a 15-foot length of the historic wall at 75 High Street, Unit 2. See Application.
