Ellen Meyers is retiring after sixteen years with the Newton Free Library, managing Programs and Communications. She will soon be working part-time as the Administrative Consultant for RUACH Community Health, one of the Hebrew College Campus Partners.

Colleen McElduff of Lower Falls has received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

The Newton-based Carroll Center for the Blind recently inducted into its Carroll Society the following blind and visually impaired employees, honoring their significant contributions to their employers, serving as leaders and examples for others, despite employment barriers: Barbara Balsamo, Josh Pearson, Karen Santiago, and Sarah Wiles. In addition, Erich Manser received the Thomas J. Carroll Award for Employment as the “Blind Employee of the Year.”
