July 4th: Morning and afternoon events CANCELED due to weather. Evening events currently scheduled to proceed.

CANCELED: Kids Morning: July 4, 10AM-Noon, at Newton Centre Bowl — the open green space below the hut off Tyler Terrace. A free event for children ages 3 – 12 years. Children and families are invited to join in the Patriotic Costume Parade, Grand Pet Promenade, Decorated Bicycle Parade, make a July 4th parade wand at the arts/crafts table, and more. Free ice cream courtesy of Cabot’s Ice Cream.

CANCELED: Afternoon Events: July 4, 1PM-6PM, at Albemarle Field/Halloran Sports Complex. The fun includes a carnival featuring kiddie amusement rides by Cushing Amusements, local business vendor booths, handmade craft fair, live musical entertainment at the gazebo and food trucks. 

  • 1PM: A performance in the field by Flying High Dogs — dogs who appear to sail through the air with agility and precision while catching flying objects!

Evening Events: July 4, 6PM-10PM, at Albemarle Field/Halloran Sports Complex.

  • 6PM: The main stage will feature the Bo and Bill Winiker Band. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket, try out the delicious food from the many food trucks, and enjoy the open space under the stars.
  • 9:15PM: FIREWORKS! Check newtonma.gov for updates on weather.
