Internationally acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw—hailed for performances with orchestras including Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco—leads an evening of chamber music on Thursday, December 18 at 7:30PM at The Allen Center (35 Webster Street, West Newton).
He will be joined by pianist Kevin Ahfat, a core member of the three-time Grammy-nominated ARC Ensemble, performing Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata in D. Clarinetist Yoonah Kim, winner of the 2016 Concert Artists Guild International Competition—the first solo clarinetist to win in nearly 30 years—joins Ahfat for duos by Schubert and Mozart. The evening concludes with Walter Rabl’s Piano Quartet, performed by Jackiw, Kim, Ahfat, and cellist Allison Eldredge.
