Over the weekend of October 24-26, West Newton Cinema will celebrate the centennial of the birth of Academy Award-winning actor and Newton native, Jack Lemmon.
The three-day celebration will feature screenings of Jack Lemmon’s most acclaimed films, a commemorative reception, and a special conversation with members of the Lemmon family. Courtney Lemmon, Chris Lemmon, and Sydney Lemmon will take part in the event, celebrating their father and grandfather’s enduring legacy.
“Jack Lemmon’s contributions to American cinema are unparalleled,” said representatives of West Newton Cinema. “It is a privilege to recognize his centennial here in Newton, where his journey began, and to welcome his family in celebrating both his artistry and his roots.”
The event will provide an opportunity for audiences to experience the actor’s work on the big screen, while also paying tribute to his life and career in the city where he was born.
