Follow outdoor enthusiast and naturalist Jeff Adams on Saturday, October 11, from 10AM to 12:30PM, for a guided nature walk at Newton’s Kennard Park sponsored by the Newton Conservators. This walk is mostly the same as the Kennard Park #1 guided walk. Walk participants will learn how to identify a selection of native and non-native plant species. Jeff, who has led walks for the Friends of the [Middlesex] Fells, Sudbury Valley Trustees, and Lincoln Land Conservation Trust, will also share some natural history, folklore, and general plant science. Sturdy shoes are recommended for the park’s uneven and hilly topography. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled to November 2, from 10AM to 12:30PM. Participants should meet at the parking lot at 246 Dudley Road.
For questions concerning the walk, contact Jeff Adams at 781-866-8311 or [email protected].
Registration is required and limited to 15 people.
This guided walk is part of the Newton Conservators Fall Walk Series. To learn more about the Newton Conservators and its free walks, webinars, invasive pulls, and other events, visit https://newtonconservators.org.
