I support repealing Newton’s winter overnight parking ban. The issue of equity overwhelms any concerns about repealing the ban. Repealing the ban addresses the matter of fairness between the “have’s” and the “have-nots.”
Yes, there may be some site-specific issues after the ban is repealed, but Newtonians are creative and engaged, and we’ll deal with those after we solve the equity problem.
