The American Legion Post 440 invites the public to the Annual Flag Retirement with Honor and Dignity Ceremony on Veterans Day Tuesday, November 11 at 11:45AM in the parking lot of American Legion Post 440 (295 California Street, Newton).
You can retire a flag in honor of a family member veteran (living or deceased). Simply sign up at the Post 440 table and your special veteran’s name will be announced and remembered as you accompany their flag to be retired.
The flag retirement ceremony will commence after the City of Newton’s 11AM ceremony honoring all those throughout our history who raised their hand and took the oath to selflessly, honorably, bravely defend our democracy, defend our freedom, and defend the Constitution of the United States.
