The Newton Free Library will host a screening of Recovery City on Wednesday, September 24, 6PM-8:30PM in the Library’s Druker Auditorium (330 Homer Street).
Recovery City is an award-winning documentary exploring addiction and recovery through the stories of four women in Worcester, MA.
The event includes a 15-minute training in naloxone and opioid overdose response, followed by a discussion with filmmaker Lisa Olivieri, featured participants, and experts from Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Presented in partnership with Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Newton Health & Human Services, Newton Coalition for Community Wellness, and the Newton Free Library.
