Land Use Committee – July 22, 2025

The Land Use Committee voted to approve the following (see report and meeting video):

  • Request to waive three parking stalls at 776 Beacon Street (7-0) special permit to reconfigure parking to reduce required on-site stalls to 13 to accommodate an accessible walkway. No one spoke at the public hearing. Petition documents Draft order
  • Request to allow three single-family attached dwellings, parking relief, and a combination of retaining walls exceeding four feet in height at 790 Watertown Street (4–2–1, Councilors Block and Lobovits opposed, Laredo abstained) New plans presented with a slightly smaller building height and floor area ratio, balcony removed, and patio reconfigured. One person spoke at the public hearing, requesting the committee wait for the Historical review. Petition documents Draft order

The Committee voted to hold the following:

  • Request to waive side and rear setback requirements and to allow tandem parking at 11 Parsons Street  (7-0). Six people spoke at the public hearing with concerns about the parking. Held for revised plans. Petition documents
  • Request for setback and parking relief at 16–20 Winter Street (7-0)  to create three attached single-family dwellings (tandem parking request). Neighborhoods and the Historic District had been consulted. Petition documents
