The Hyde Community Center Summer Series will present a free concert and movie on Friday, September 5 at the Hyde Bandstand (90 Lincoln Street, Newton Highlands):
This last concert and movie of the season will include a special ceremony honoring Newton’s first mayor, James F.C. Hyde, 200 years after his birth, and Newton’s current mayor and first woman elected to the position, Ruthanne Fuller, for her unwavering support during her two terms as mayor.
And something for the kids: there will be cupcakes!
- 6PM: Concert: Boston Rock and Soul Revue
- 7PM: Gratitude presentation to Mayor Ruthanne Fuller and birthday cupcakes in honor of Newton’s first mayor, James F.C. Hyde.
- 8:30PM Move: Paddington in Peru
