Newton Chapter of BranchOut! is hosting a workshop on September 10, 7PM-8PM at Meeting Room A of the Newton Free Library to introduce this non-profit award-winning, youth education cross-cultural community service program. It will also introduce the U.S. Congressional Award for volunteers of BranchOut!, as well as other topics for middle and high schoolers for the new school year.

BranchOut! is a youth-led, multicultural, STEAM education and community outreach program that bridges achievement gaps by fostering civic engagement, cultural understanding, and youth empowerment through STEAM. Founded in 2015 as a peer mentoring initiative for underserved youth, it has since grown to engage 600+ volunteers from 40+ high schools across five states, with active chapters in Virginia, Maryland, and, since 2023, Massachusetts. Recognized nationally with honors including endorsements from U.S. Senators Tim Kaine (VA) and Andy Kim (NJ), as well as State Auditor Diana DiZoglio (MA), BranchOut! will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a Fall Celebration Event on October 5, 2025.
