That first issue addressed BERDO, the West Newton Armory, Gath Pool project, Village Center Zoning, the Newton Affordable Housing Trust, a new Fire Chief, a new Interim Superintendent, nine new Artful Pianos, and a lot of climate news.
City Council
Zoning and Planning will meet on Monday regarding:
- Possible amendments to:
- Include 4-6 units in Inclusionary Zoning and raise the number of required affordable units in large developments
- Require developers and property managers provide bias training
- Remove or reduce the parking minimums for first-floor commercial uses in commercial centers
- Reappointment of Harvey Schorr to the Newton Historical Commission
Finance Committee‘s regularly scheduled meeting has been canceled.
