Zoning and Planning will meet in person (Room204) and virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, June 23 at 7PM. The agenda includes the following:
- Request for a re-evaluation and possible amendments to the Inclusionary Zoning to include 4-6 units, including raising the requirements for the number of affordable units in large developments.
- Request for discussion and possible amendment to require developers and property managers provide training for their employees regarding bias toward residents of Inclusionary Zoning unit and how to mitigate bias
- Request for discussion and possible amendments to to Newton’s Zoning Ordinance to remove or reduce the parking minimums for first-floor commercial uses in commercial centers
- Reappointment of Harvey Schorr to the Newton Historical Commission
