Five local United Church of Christ parishes will host an inter-faith worship service, open to all, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 9:30AM in the air-conditioned sanctuary at Newton Highlands Congregational Church (54 Lincoln Street, Newton Highlands).
Rabbi Allison Berry, director of the Betty Ann Greenbaum Miller Center for Jewish Healing at Jewish Family & Children’s Service and former co-senior rabbi at Temple Shalom, West Newton, will preach.
Participating congregations are The Eliot Church of Newton, Newton Highlands Congregational Church, Second Church in Newton, The Union Church in Waban, and the United Parish of Auburndale.
“This annual joint service was begun in 2022 to honor the churches’ many connections and mutual commitments, and to step out of Covid times,” said the Reverend Dr. Ken Baily of Newton Highlands Congregational Church. “We look forward to welcoming the community!”
