Programs & Services Committee Report – April 24, 2025

The Programs & Services Committee voted to approve the following (see report and watch the meeting video):

  • Reappointment of Nathan Persampieri to the Commission on Disability (5–0; Councilors Micley, Baker, and Krintzman not voting). With no concerns raised, the committee supported reappointing Mr. Persampieri for a term ending May 31, 2028.
  • Reappointment of Stephen Logowitz to the Community Education Commission (5–0; Councilors Micley, Baker, and Krintzman not voting). Mr. Logowitz was reappointed for a term ending May 5, 2027.
  • Reappointment of Harold W. Adams to the Community Education Commission (6–0; Councilors Baker and Krintzman not voting). Mr. Adams’ reappointment was approved for a term ending May 5, 2027.
  • Reappointment of William Dietrich to the Biosafety Committee (6–0; Councilors Baker and Krintzman not voting). Mr. Dietrich’s term will run through May 5, 2028.

Chair’s Note: The budget report for this meeting will be made available at a later date. Information Technology (including AI), Historic Newton, the Library, and Parks, Recreation and Culture were discussed.
