Joy Moore has been appointed to the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts (BBBSEM). She currently serves as the inaugural Vice President and Executive Director of the Pine Manor Institute for Student Success at Boston College, where she leads innovative programs for first-generation students and those from underserved communities. Her leadership has been integral to the creation of Messina College, a two-year college that prepares students for further education at Boston College. Previously, she served as the interim head of The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.

- Dashiell Martin, (Newton South): Skiing All-Scholastics
- Teagan Swint (Newton North): Boys’ Basketball All-Scholastics
Dru Sky Berrian will return to the SpeakEasy Stage, this time in JaJa’s African Hair Braiding, running May 2-31. The play takes place in a hair braiding salon, with owner JaJa about to be married, and Dru plays JaJa’s daughter, Marie. Previously she appeared at SpeakEasy Stage in Ain’t No Mo’ and TJ Loves Sally 4Ever. Born and raised in Atlanta, she graduated from Boston Conservatory with a degree in Contemporary Theatre and resides in Newton.
